WrapKit is a Geometry Nodes asset designed to accurately wrap one object onto the surface of another—without the common issues of distortion, flattening, or missed projections.

Traditional methods like Shrinkwrap tend to flatten geometry, while projection-based setups often fail when parts of the mesh don’t properly hit the target surface. WrapKit solves this with a procedural walker algorithm that intelligently travels across the surface, ensuring consistent contact and clean results.

Whether you’re working with complex shapes, tight curves, or uneven topology, WrapKit keeps your geometry smoothly conformed and visually intact—while still giving you artistic control where you need it.

WrapKit gives you precise control and dependable results—making it an essential tool for advanced modeling workflows. 

With Simply Wrap Pro you can create a wrapped mesh/ curve around an object or character in seconds.

To use the addon, simply select your collision object and begin drawing. You can draw in a zigzag pattern from one view on both sides of the object. The addon will automatically detect the orientation of the faces, so you don’t have to worry about constantly rotating the view. Just focus on drawing

Important Information
it is recommended to use a low-resolution collision mesh when creating a fluidly wrapped object in the scene. This will help to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the fluid simulation.

best performance of the addon, it is recommended to have only one object in the scene while using it.

the wrap created by the addon may require some additional work (such as releasing intersections and editing certain sections), it is generally much less work compared to manually wrapping and rotating the view repeatedly.

– Updated: Blender compatibility raised to 5.1.1+
blender_manifest.toml now sets blender_version_min = “5.1.1”

– Fixed: Icon loading updated to Blender 5.1+ compatible system
Replaced deprecated bpy.utils.previews with new icon_utils.py
using bpy.data.images and preview_ensure() for icon loading.
All 9 icons (simply_icon, icon_wrap, icon_play, icon_pause,
icon_stop, icon_replay, icon_face_front, icon_back,
icon_point_count) are now loaded dynamically from icons/ folder.
Icons are scheduled via bpy.app.timers to load safely after
addon registration.

– Fixed: Version label in info bar now reads directly from
blender_manifest.toml via tomllib — no more hardcoded strings.

– Fixed: bl_label is now dynamic: f”Simply Wrap Pro | {ADDON_VERSION}”

– Fixed: bl_info version updated from (1,8,0) to (2,4,4)
to match blender_manifest.toml

– Fixed: bl_info blender version updated from (4,0,0) to (5,1,1)

– Fixed: blender_manifest.toml license corrected to SPDX format:
“SPDX:GPL-3.0-or-later”

– Fixed: addon name in blender_manifest.toml corrected:
“Simply Wrap” → “Simply Wrap Pro”

– Fixed: unregister() was incorrectly calling ui.registerIcon()
instead of unregistering icons. Now calls unload_custom_icons().
