Introducing Red Giant Geo, a new tool that lets you import, texture, light, and clone 3D objects in After Effects. Artists can use any layer or comp to customize textures and materials using the full power of After Effects. It supports several file formats, including C4D, OBJ, FBX, GLB, glTF, DAE, and 3DS. Integrated cloner options allow you to create arrays in box, sphere, or cylindrical shapes easily and quickly. Additionally, the rendering performance in Trapcode Particular has been improved significantly.

PARTICLE EFFECTS
Trapcode brings the power of 3D particle systems right into After Effects. Use particle emitters to create fire, water, smoke, snow and other organic visual effects, or create technological marvels and user interfaces with immortal particle grids, text and 3D forms. Combine multiple particle systems into one unified 3D space and design emitters that emit full emitters for creating visually stunning results. With GPU acceleration, Trapcode plugins help you get beautiful results fast.

TRAPCODE PHYSICS & FLUIDS
Trapcode includes a physics engine with powerful behaviors, forces and environmental controls. Particular brings particles to life with new flocking/swarming and predator/prey behaviors, and adds more realism with combined bounce and air physics. Particular and Form both include the ability to create organic fluid simulations where particle systems interact with beautiful results.

3D OBJECTS & SURFACES
Create flowing surfaces, mountainous terrains, endless tunnels, and abstract shapes. Use paths and motion to generate beautifully complex geometric shapes, ribbons and extrusions. Whether you are creating motion graphics or visual effects, the possibilities are endless.

Multiple objects (up to 4 in addition to the primary)
Multiple materials (up to 5)
Position and Position Offset transforms (good for v-shaped and honeycomb formations, respectively)

Orient Inward/Outward – orient objects toward or away from the center of the cloner shape
Depth of field – enable in the Rendering group and control with your AE camera
Make sure Classic 3D is selected as your renderer to expose the camera’s depth of field controls
Rigged animation support for FBX, GLB, GLTF
Import animated models directly into Geo
Currently only fully-skinned models are supported. Models that combine skinned and non-skinned elements will not appear correctly.

Known Issues
Geo: Launching asset browsers crashes AE on Intel Macs.
Geo: Selecting GLB or GLTF files crashes AE on Intel Macs.
Geo: Anti-aliasing and fog don’t play well together.
Geo: Transmission shows reflection of objects.
Geo: Adjusting the number of materials in the cloner affects the random seed.
Geo: Render goes blank on Windows machines if Depth of Field is disabled on comp camera.
Geo: Projected textures get warped with rigged animations.
Geo: Rigged models convey null transformations exponentially.
Particular: Bounce particles jitter and die prematurely with stronger forces (gravity, friction, etc.)
