What’s new in Clip Studio Paint Ver. 5.0.0 (released March 11, 2026)
Version 5.0.0 includes the following updates.

Smart Shape allows you to intuitively and quickly draw straight lines, curves, and shapes without switching tools

Smart Shape has been added. You can now draw clean straight lines, curves, and figures with a pen or brush by long-pressing with the pen on the spot without switching to a Figure tool. You can toggle Smart Shape settings from Smart Shape in the Preferences dialog > Tool.

High-quality 3D hand models allow you to adjust the hand appearance to suit your character design

Hand model has been added to 3D in the Material palette. It includes high-quality 3D hand models with a range of customizable hand shapes that you can use as a reference for drawing hands. You can also pose them using hand pose materials or the Hand Scanner.

More types of 3D objects can now be drawn or painted on

You can now draw on more 3D objects using drawing tools.
Batch export textures has been added to the Tool Settings palette and Advanced Tool Settings palette when a 3D layer is selected with the Object tool. You can export all textures of your own custom material or 3D model at once. (EX)
Height-based fog

You can now select Height from Fog type in the Tool Settings palette when a 3D layer is selected with the Object tool. Fog can be set according to the height of the 3D space, and you can set the direction to start from above or from below.

Tonal Correction for multiple layers

Commands in the Edit menu > Tonal Correction can now be applied to multiple layers. Color corrections can be applied to each layer.

Improved processing speed for transformations

We have improved the speed of transformations made from the Edit menu > Transform on raster layers.

Improved usability of the Material palette

A Recently used materials folder has been added to the Material palette. You can select materials from those you have previously used.
Frequency has been added to Sorting in the Material palette menu. Materials can be displayed in order of usage frequency.
The position of the icon in the upper right corner of the thumbnail of materials downloaded from ASSETS in the Material palette has been moved to the upper right corner of the thumbnail in the material details. The icon design has also been changed to that of Clip Studio. Tap it to open the material information in Clip Studio Assets as before.
The save location of a selected material is now shown in the material details of the Material palette. Tap the location information to select the folder where the material is registered.

For everyone struggling with passwords every day. Download AutoHotKey v1 from the official website or GitHub and here’s the script (IMPORTANT! This script is for AutoHotKey v1, not v2, as it won’t work with v2). If AutoHotKey v1 is installed, simply double-click the script and let it run in the system tray. Place the script in the “Startup” folder if you want it to run automatically at startup. The script monitors opening windows; it will automatically notice when a window asking for a password pops up, enter the password, and press Enter. The script does nothing else. It doesn’t consume system resources.

My script works fine, but depending on your situation, you may have some difficulties:
– If you have a different version of Clip Studio, not 4.2.0, then open the script in Notepad and replace “TextToPaste = lai2 zi4 bbs.itzmx.com mian3 fei4 fen1 xiang3 fa1 xian4 fan4 mai4 ju3 bao4 cha4 ping2 tui4 kuan3 bbs.itzmx.com Always Free” with the password that you have. They may look similar, but they are different. Save and restart the script.
– If the password window is not in English “Application requires password to start”, but in another language (mine is in English, but maybe someone else has it differently). In this case, open the script in Notepad and replace “TargetWindow = Application requires password to start” with “TargetWindow = *insert_window_name_here*”. Save and rerun the script.
Also, for some users, the script may not run correctly without administrator rights. If the right-click menu for the script doesn’t include “Run as administrator,” there should be an option in the same menu to “Compile” or something similar (I’m on Windows in English, so mine says “Compile”). This will create an .exe file that can be run as an administrator.

I also made a couple of variations here; maybe one of them will work better.
cspass1.2t – this script will work if the issue is timing (sometimes the system delays the carriage return, and the copy-paste slips into oblivion).
cspass1.3t is a more “dumb” version that may work better for technical reasons.
cspass1.2f – this script will work if the carriage return isn’t active when the password window opens.
