RockForm for Blender – Awesome ROCKS Collection Download
RockForm v1.4 is a powerful Blender add-on designed to create high-density rock formations using mesh displacement. It enables users to generate unique, game-ready assets quickly, bypassing traditional sculpting or photogrammetry workflows. The tool offers extensive customization, including varied spawn methods, procedural displacement, and material control. It works with Blender 4.1+ and supports efficient optimization through automated retopology and decimation. While it handles geometry generation, users are expected to manage their own baking techniques for high-fidelity normal maps and final asset integration.

– Added new feature: ‘Z-Split Textures’. Read how it works here.
– Added 8 new Shape Instance Groups and removed some other ones that weren’t as useful:
– ‘SIG07: Boulders’ (replaced ‘Angled Slabs’)
– ‘SIG14: Fractured Slabs’ (replaced ‘Split Slabs’)
– ‘SIG15: Fractured Columns’ (improved version of ‘Frag Column’)
– ‘SIG20: Hemispheres’ (replaced ‘Claws’)
– ‘SIG21: Slates’
– ‘SIG22: Chipped Blocks’
– ‘SIG23: Hoodoos’
– ‘SIG24: Capped Columns’
– Refined most of the other SIGs.
– Added 3 new displacement textures.
– Added separate invert buttons to control Tex1 and Tex2 separately. See the new icons here.
– The SIG selection dropdown is now only for custom groups. There is now a ‘RF Custom SIGs’ collection with 5 premade empty collections for putting user-designed shapes in.
– Changed blend operation for 2 textures from ‘add’ to ‘lighten’. This compares the two textures and whichever pixels are lighter are displayed. This essentially helps fill in the ‘voids’ of darker (deeper) areas to create variation without excessively bloating the displacement (as happened with ‘add’) and then having to balance the strength to compensate.
– Tex1 and Tex2 Multipliers has also been changed to no longer be based on multiplication, but a ‘mix’ blend function with the first color being neutral to serve as a midpoint. This prevent the shrinkage of the previous method and makes changes more predictable.
– Limited the ability of triplanar blending — now named ‘Seam Blending’ — (via mapped range node) to be any value lower than 0.01. Anything below that value to zero would create undesirable results.
COUPLE IT WITH ROCKIFY ADDON FROM AEBLENDER OR VFXMED AND YOU WILL GET EVEN MORE ROCKS! 🙂
