Boxcutter was intended to be the fastest on-screen 3d view drawing cutter. Throughout our experiences we have learned and enhanced the tools through time and experience to optimize the workflow to be as fast as humanly possible for users. We offer a variety of behaviors to personalize the experience to keep things running fluidly. Every day these tools are rigorously tested to ensure they not only work with current versions of Blender but the build-bot of upcoming versions of Blender yet to be released.

Box was our first shape and my personal favorite. But now with extraction users can take the surface of other shapes and use them as cutters to cut things you never would have thought possible. The potential for creation is endless.
On the fly edit system
Tab to live is the default in Blender and with boxcutter we expanded on that idea as well. With tab to live you have dots capable of assisting you with making changes and adjustments on the fly. Even mid draw helpers are here to assist with any settings to need to perfect before commitment is made.
Fastest Cutter.. period
Once boxcutter is started, click and drag to make a shape. That is all there is to it. Boxcutter can’t be any easier than that if we tried. Boxcutter works with mice, pens, and tablet with systems made to work more efficiently.
Advanced Snapping System
We took special care to avoid boolean issues like hot-lining and provide multiple snapping options for getting the perfect shape placed where you need it. Our dot snapping system is only a ctrl key away and has a fade for distance to keeping a simplified experience in mind.
